What is SEO?
The term SEO covers any action which help to secure higher search ranking (primarily Google). It includes individual page/post optimisation, website wide factors, external links to the website, internal links within the website and a miriad of other factors. Beware any agency that offers a service which is all external to the website or is only about the content of tags.
Many providers of SEO services promote actions that are no longer effective or deliver some high rankings but few extra website visits. Living Streams has been successfully assisting client companies to achieve useful organic search traffic for their websites since 2008. By 2010, we had evolved our resilient SEO approach which has protected our clients’ traffic from changes in Google search ranking algorithm.
Living Streams SEO offering
I (Tony Thornby) have been offering SEO support, focussed on rankings in Google, since 2008. My initial knowledge came from attending a dedicated Search Engine Workshop training course. But , with Google changing its ranking algorithm daily and in a big way every 12 to 18 months, ongoing learning has always been required.
Many agencies offer SEO to obtain higher Google search rankings for a limited list of specific keywords (search phrases). Where Living Streams is different is that the success measure is increasing numbers of relevant organic search visits. Only when your SEO is resulting in more website visits can the work result in lead generation.
Another difference about Living Streams SEO offering is that it is a flexible advice, mentoring and implementation service. Many of our clients, follow the same path over time – we research and suggest the strategy > we start the implementation > the client prepares content but we optimise and publish it > the client carries out all of the work with our mentoring and reporting. This approach results in monthly charges in three figures instead of four and can eventually drop to around £100 per month.
What is Resilient SEO?
In 2012, Google started the implementation of a number of major changes to their ranking algorithm – now widely called the Zoo series of changes. These caused the rankings of many websites to drop dramatically.
I am pleased to say that all Living Streams SEO clients did not suffer lose of rankings. The reason was that 2 years earlier, I had adopted a methodology based on regular addition of fresh quality content and focus on topics rather than specific search phrases.
At that time, Living Streams was part of the largest worldwide network of digital marketing consultancies (WSI). Separately to one of their specialist suppliers came to the same conclusion as myself and the approach is used to this day within WSI worldwide under the name ‘adaptive SEO’.
