Abu Dhabi Airport has redesigned its two editable websites in a bid to better meet the needs of customers. The Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), carried out research on what would help passengers, hopes that the revamped versions of its customer and corporate sites will lead to a much more streamlined and easy to navigate experience.
The new consumer site, which is available in English and Arabic, boasts some new tools to improve accessibility and usability. The Passenger Guide tool lets passengers find useful information that is tailored specifically to their needs, and can be found on every page of the site. Simply by inputting a flight number or destination, a window appears with basic flight details. Travellers can then use the search function to locate restaurants, banks and shops that are nearest to the departure gate.
Another feature of the new site means flyers can receive flight status updates via sms or email. They can also more easily book parking and hotels.
Meanwhile, a section of the website focuses on Abu Dhabi including general information on the Emirate, a brief tourist guide and links to the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority website for trip planning purposes such as hotel bookings and the events calendar.
“As an international airport, we are constantly striving to develop and enhance our services to ensure travellers enjoy a stress-free experience,” said ADAC senior vice-president Ahmed Al Haddabi.
“Our new website will allow for the travel journey to begin online from any location. We have conducted extensive research to find out what our passengers need, and our goal was to meet these demands with a modern, creative, simple, interactive and informative website.”
It comes as the ADAC unveils its new corporate website. Also available in English and Arabic, this sets out key information about the company and its services. It also features a new media centre that provides up-to-date news on the firm and its activities.
