Nokia has announced a new partnership with site Facebook that will allow handset owners to navigate people to places via the social network.
Launched at the company’s Nokia World show in Stuttgart, Germany, the feature – known as lifecasting with Ovi – comes in the form of an application that lets people publish updates directly from the home screen of their device.
The mobile phone manufacturer said in a statement that lifecasting aims to encourage people to build “deeper and closer connections” with each other.
It is designed to work on the firm’s flagship N97 and N97 Mini phones, with the former getting the feature in the form of a software update next month.
