Yahoo!’s Inquisitor available on new platforms
Search engine firm Yahoo! has revealed that its Inquisitor service is now available on Firefox and Internet Explorer browser platforms.
Yahoo! has made its Inquisitor service available on the latest Firefox and Internet Explorer browser platforms.
Announcing the move, Ariel Seidman said the majority of internet users will be able to take advantage of the service’s unique search methods.
Previously available on Safari, Inquisitor will now also include a new bookmark-based retrieval feature for Internet Explorer.
This will enable businesses to apply a simple search for an old bookmark, rather than having to manually search through numerous logs on their intranet, Ms Seidman said.
Search engine optimisation firms could benefit from the programme’s design, which is intended to provide personalised and targeted results.
Ms Seidman added: “The focus of Inquisitor, regardless of browser platforms, remains squarely on providing you with instant web results that get you to your destination faster, the best query formulation assistance and a richer, more personalised search experience.”
Inquisitor is compatible with versions two and three of Firefox and versions seven and eight of Internet Explorer.
Search engine giant Google this week unveiled new features for users of its Analytics service, which includes an advanced segmentation function which allows search engine optimisation firms to examine specific sections of web traffic.
