Good user experience websites ‘better for SEO’
An internet marketing expert has claimed that websites that provide good user experience are likely to reap the rewards of high SEO rankings.
Websites that provide a good user experience are likely to fare better in search engine optimisation (SEO) rankings than those which do not, it has emerged.
Ron Jones, president and chief executive officer of Symetri Internet Marketing, commented on Search Engine Watch that website developers who consider site structure in such a light, will “reap great dividends” with regards to SEO.
One of the most important aspects of SEO-friendly site design, he claimed, is the structure of navigation and internal links.
He added that a site map is the best way for developers to improve the ability of search engines to “crawl” websites.
“Include key search terms in your link text and focus on making your site easy to navigate for both users and search engines.”
Meanwhile, it has recently been claimed that SEO needs to be planned in tandem with paid search for better results in the future.
Writing on a Media Post blog, David Berkowitz, director of emerging media and client strategy at 360i, said: “Several studies show that by integrating search engine marketing with SEO, results are greater than the sum of its parts.”
