Digital marketing is a powerful tool – comparatively inexpensive, immediate, and incredibly noticeable.
Or is it? There is such a flood of content that it can be a complex problem to make your marketing float to the top and work. And that is what ‘Visual Power in Digital Marketing’ is all about.
That old adage ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’ is still just as true as when newspaper editor Tess Flanders first uttered it in 1911. She was trying to promote the use of pictures in ads – and guess what? This seminar takes that idea forward by revealing and exploring the best use of still and moving images in 21st century digital marketing.
Tony Thornby, digital marketing engineer and social networking specialist, has worked for Greenhouse People, Grundon Waste Management, Science Soft (Belarus), My Dental (Ireland), Monodraught, Carrs Welding, Ibis Communication, Waterford Technologies (Ireland), Hansford Sensors etc. He will present information on subjects such as:
• Webpage layouts that work,
• Enhancing the marketing value of images
• Using images’ to boost website conversions
• The role of images in gaining attention
• The advantages of consistent branding
• The use of video
If digital marketing is used correctly it can deliver amazing return on investment – but this requires careful targeting, quality content, and attention to detail if it’s to produce sparkling results.
Robert Duncan is a cartoonist and occasional writer, whose history includes working for a number of years as a creative director, and understands how advertising and marketing work (as much as anyone else does!) He has worked for among many others, Coutts, Kodak, American Express, BBC, Volkswagen and Sir Tim Rice. His one hour presentation will include slides and speed draw films that herald the death of PowerPoint, cartoons that have been successful on websites and social media, and some useful comparisons between cartoons and dear old clip art.
Robert will leave you strongly questioning your current use of stock images and understanding the better alternatives.
