SeeSaw undergoes website promotion
Will you be tuning in to SeeSaw? (Mark Richards)
We all know that web video is big – but it continues to grow and impact other media
A new website promotion campaign is underway to get SeeSaw into the conscience of the British public.
The online video service holds a number of popular TV shows, which users are able to access if they are invited by another customer.
To get the project off the ground, bosses at SeeSaw have opted for a TV-based ad campaign, which highlights the potential of the service.
Initially, consumers will be confronted with three ten-second teaser ads, which will then be followed by a more extensive campaign in the second quarter of this year.
Ads come with the strapline “If you love TV, SeeSaw.com”, which aims to entice people to the site in the hope of getting them to sign up.
Maya Bhose, the head of brand marketing at the site, commented: “The first phase of the marketing activity will drive awareness of SeeSaw across a broad audience of TV fans, through both broadcast and online.”
She added that the strategy would develop further as the service edges closer to becoming a paid-for service later in the year.
The ads are due to be shown on Channel 4, E4 and More 4 before heading to ITV, Five and other channels and online.
