Deep Nishar, senior vice president of products and user experience at LinkedIn, said in a recent blog post that the site now has a presence in 200 countries worldwide and is available in 19 languages.
“This milestone is more than just a metric it’s a reminder of the global footprint and the scale of impact our network has each day. Members come first at LinkedIn and we remain focused on creating economic opportunity for every professional in the world,” he added.
Using LinkedIn for business purposes
With so many people logging into the networking site everyday it provides a great opportunity for businesses to connect with professionals in a host of industries, but to do so it is imperative to get your profile up-to-date and as good as it can be.
Some simple tips include adding a header photo to your company page, which can be used to showcase your brand visually, rather than just through a block of text, which can be boring and put people off.
The most eye-catching image will get the best results. Once you have a good image, it is important to update regularly, which will keep you in the limelight and at the front of peoples’ minds.
If you have both a company and personal profile, then why not use your individual profile to big up and praise your own business. You can strengthen your company’s profile and image through this means.
Also it is worth adding a LinkedIn badge at the bottom of any email you send from your business, as people will easily be able to connect with you should they wish to do so.
