Small Business Saturday leverages the idea that in December companies can be looking to:
– maximise sales in the Christmas buying period
– use what remains of this year’s budget before it ‘expires’
– plan their 2016 budgets
Although the event is a single day – 5th December this year – it should be looked on as just a milestone date for an offer which could apply for the rest of December. The concept applies equally to business to consumer companies and business to business. By putting together a special December offer, businesses can attract custom for businesses which fall into any of these 3 categories. But deciding what to offer and how to promote it can be a challenge.
